Joseph Greene was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. Growing up listening to music of everything from the Beatles to Beethoven, he fell in love with music when he began taking guitar lessons at age 15. He subsequently began teaching himself to play the piano, and has since taken lessons in the violin as well. He enrolled in an introductory music theory course in high school, where he developed a passion for music theory. He is currently a senior at the College of Idaho studying music theory/composition and the piano as well as psychology. He composes in a variety of styles for all types of instruments, including the guitar and piano, with particular interest in the relationship between musical theory and psychological perceptions of the music.
Joseph is the composer for the music of Tomorrow, Tomorrow; Opera Elect’s summer show that will be touring the Northwest.
